Learn how to donate to a fundraiser on Pageraise without an account, which payment methods work, and how to leave a message or give anonymously.

Updated October 15, 2026

To donate to a fundraiser on Pageraise, open the fundraise page, choose an amount, decide on an optional tip, and pay with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or another method Stripe offers where you live. You don't need an account to make a one-time donation.

Thank you for wanting to help someone. Here's exactly what to expect, step by step.

Do I need an account to donate?

Not for a one-time donation. Anyone can give without signing up.

If you'd like to give every month, you'll need to be signed in. Our guide to monthly donations covers how that works. And if you do have an account, you can see everything you've given in My Donations.

How to donate, step by step

  1. Open the fundraise page. Every fundraise lives at pageraise.com/f/ followed by its link. You can also find fundraises through search.
  2. Choose One-time (or Monthly if you're signed in).
  3. Enter your donation amount. The minimum is $1.
  4. Choose an optional tip for Pageraise on the slider.
  5. Add a message if you'd like, and choose whether to appear as Anonymous.
  6. On the payment step, check the "Posting as" line, then pay.
  7. You'll see a thank-you screen once your payment goes through.

Payment methods you can use

You can pay with:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Other methods Stripe offers in your region

Some of those other methods, like Klarna or Cash App Pay, briefly send you to the provider's page to finish paying and then bring you back. That's expected.

Every payment is processed by Stripe, and the money goes through Stripe straight to the creator's connected account. Pageraise never holds the funds.

The optional tip

Pageraise doesn't charge creators a platform fee. Instead, donors can add an optional tip for Pageraise on a slider from 0% to 50%, in 5% steps. It starts at 10%, and you can slide it to 0 if you'd rather not tip. Tips never come out of the creator's money. More on this in fees and tips.

Leaving a message or giving anonymously

You can add a message of up to 300 characters. It's a nice way to let the creator know you're thinking of them.

You can also choose to appear as Anonymous. Before you pay, the payment step shows exactly how your donation will be displayed in a "Posting as" line, so you can double check before anything is charged.

After you donate

Once your payment goes through, you'll see a thank-you screen. If the creator wrote a personal Thank You message, it appears there too.

If you're signed in, your donation shows up in My Donations.

If something goes wrong

If your payment doesn't go through, you haven't been charged. A failed payment is never charged. Common reasons include a bank decline, wrong card details, or an expired card, and trying another card or contacting your bank usually solves it. See why your payment failed for the full list.

If you close the payment window before paying, nothing is charged and the attempt is cleaned up automatically.

A note on taxes

Contributions are not tax-deductible unless the creator has their own verified charitable status. Pageraise is not a charity.
